I’m Matt Freeman. I’ve been practicing law since 2014. My practice focuses on improving small business owners employment practices and contracts. Before becoming a lawyer, I managed a team of about 25 part and full time employees at a local university. I have an awesome wife and two “spirited” kids. In my spare time, I play soccer, listen to punk rock, and enjoy good beer. Sometimes I even brew beer that I gift to clients and friends.

Pricing and Payment
What are your hourly rates? I never charge by the hour. I use Fixed Price Agreements so you know what the project costs up front.
Do you take credit card? Yes, I give all my clients the option of paying by credit card.
Can I pay in installments? Yes, I know managing cash flow can be an issue for small business.
Getting a hold of me
Phone Calls: If you call with out scheduling in advance, I probably won’t pick up because: 1. Most of the time at the end of the an unscheduled phone call I am going tell you “I’ll have to check on that and get back to you.” 2. When I’m working on a project, I want to give the project my undivided attention. Phone calls distract me, and the project suffers. This is the same level of attention your project will get when I’m working on your project. As with emails and the client portal I check my voicemail twice a day.
Emails: For prospective clients only. I try to respond to emails twice a day at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm. Anything sent after 2:00 pm gets returned the next business day. Occasionally things get bogged down or my kids or other clients have an emergency and I won’t get you for 48 hours.
Client Portal: Once you are a client, messages should be sent through the client portal. I do this because: 1. Everything is one place for both of us, so neither of us have to search through our email inbox to find something or worry about it getting lost or deleted. 2. It’s more secure than email. I try to respond to messages twice a day at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm. Anything sent after 2:00 pm gets returned the next business day. Occasionally things get bogged down or my kids or other clients have an emergency and I won’t get you for 48 hours.
Text Messages: DO NOT SEND THEM!
